My story
My fascination with the mountains began at a very young age. I stood on skis for the first time at the age of three, and before long my brothers and I were racing our parents down the slopes. At five, I started ski racing. My true passion, however, emerged when I was given the chance to try my coach’s touring skis. That was where I truly felt at home: away from the pistes, free in untouched terrain, right in the heart of the mountains.
The following summer, my father—himself a passionate mountaineer—took me on my first 3,000-metre peak. From that moment on, I couldn’t get enough of mountain experiences. At the age of fourteen, climbing my first 4,000-metre peak finally opened the door to the world of high mountains. From then on, I began climbing intensively, undertaking alpine tours, and completing classic routes in the Dolomites.
Between 2010 and 2015, my journeys also took me to distant places such as the United States, France, Spain, Morocco, Kyrgyzstan, and Nepal. Yet I am always drawn back to my home Dolomites, where, for me, the beauty of the mountains is at its greatest.
